About this Project
The clubhouse is a 19,320 square foot renovation of an old, underutilized building in Charleston. Hill was retained mid-way through the design phase under a team build approach to reduce the budget by $600,000. We worked closely with the owner, architect and design team to find opportunities for savings, using alternative materials, and self-performing certain trades to save money. The project had completely new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, as well as a new envelope to ensure the building maintains climate control to protect the extensive finishes designed for the interior.
